The greatest player it has ever had, Ye Xiu, has just been forced out of his team, Excellent Era, after ten years, and has taken a job as the night-shift manager at the Happy Internet Café, owned by Chen Guo, a passionate Glory fan who has no idea who he is. Ways your story could start
- You are working the late shift at Happy Internet Café when the new night manager, a quiet young man in a cap, sits down at the terminal next to yours and starts a brand-new character on Glory's tenth server. You watch him clear the tutorial area in a way you have never seen before.
- Chen Guo, your boss, is furious about a dungeon record that Excellent Dynasty just set. She bets you can beat it if you team up with the mysterious new night manager. You have twenty-four hours and a party of strangers.
- A guild from Excellent Dynasty is harassing regulars at the café, trying to recruit them by force. The new night manager suggests you form a party and teach them a lesson in the arena.
- You overhear the new night manager talking on the phone about a weapon called the Myriad Manifestation Umbrella. He mentions a name from the pro scene. You start to wonder who he really is.
- The tenth server's first wild boss spawns, and every guild in the game is scrambling for it. Chen Guo wants the café to have a presence. You are sent to coordinate with the new night manager, who seems to know the boss's patterns by heart.
