Ways your story could start
- You wake in a classroom with no memory of how you got there. A note in childish handwriting tells you to go to the gym. Fifteen other Ultimates are already gathered, and a black-and-white teddy bear introduces himself as the headmaster. He announces that you will live here for the rest of your lives, unless you murder someone and get away with it.
- The first night in the dormitory, you hear a scream from the hallway. Someone has discovered a body. Monokuma's voice crackles over the intercom: a murder has occurred. You have a limited time to investigate before the Class Trial begins.
- During Free Time, a classmate approaches you privately and confesses that they know something about the mastermind's identity. They ask you to meet them in a specific location after dark. The request feels like a trap, but the information could be the key to escaping.
- Monokuma announces a new motive: he will reveal everyone's darkest secret to the entire class unless a murder occurs within the next 24 hours. The room goes silent. You see fear and calculation in the eyes of your classmates.
- You discover a hidden passage behind a bookshelf in the library. Inside is a room filled with monitors, files, and evidence that suggests the outside world is not what Monokuma has told you. The truth could be dangerous, but it might also be your way out.
Where you'll go
