Where you'll go
Pallet Town
A small, peaceful seaside village in southwestern Kanto. Home to Professor Oak's Laboratory, your house, and the starting point for all new Trainers. Two houses, one lab, one Pokémon Center. The smell of salt water and the sound of Pidgeot calls define this quiet place.
Professor Oak's Laboratory
A research facility in Pallet Town where Professor Oak studies Pokémon behavior and evolution. It houses his collection, the Pokédex devices, and the three starter Pokémon in Poké Balls. The lab is warm and welcoming, filled with the sounds of Pokémon and the hum of scientific equipment.
Route 1
The first route north of Pallet Town, connecting it to Viridian City. Tall grass sways in the wind, hiding Pidgey, Rattata, and other early-game wild Pokémon. This is where new Trainers catch their first Pokémon and learn the basics of battle. The route feels alive with possibility.
Viridian City
The first major city reached from Pallet Town. It features a Pokémon Center, Poké Mart, Trainer School, and the Viridian Gym—secretly led by Giovanni, Team Rocket's boss. The city is a hub of activity and a gateway to the wider Kanto region.
Pewter City
A city built into rocky terrain, home to Brock and the Rock-type Gym. The first official Gym challenge awaits here. Stone buildings and quarries dominate the landscape, and the air feels solid and grounded.
