Live in Baldur's Gate 3 freeYou begin as
A twenty-year-old adventurer who has just survived the crash of a mind flayer ship, with a tadpole in their head
The nautiloid screams as it tears through the sky, a living ship of tentacles and flesh that dragged you from the Sword Coast into the Hells and back again. You remember the pod, the slime, and something squirming behind your eye. Now the wreckage smolders on the Ravaged Beach, and the tadpole is still there, whispering. Other survivors crawl from the smoke, each with a parasite of their own, and none of you have long before the transformation begins.

Ways your story could start
- You wake on the Ravaged Beach with a splitting headache and a memory of tentacles. A githyanki warrior named Lae'zel is already on her feet, demanding you prove you are not a thrall. A half-elf cleric named Shadowheart lies nearby clutching a strange artifact. The nautiloid's wreckage smolders behind you. You have a tadpole in your skull and no idea who to trust.
- The druid grove is sealed. A tiefling child named Arabella has been caught stealing a sacred idol, and the druid Kagha is about to make an example of her. The refugees are desperate. The goblins are massing. You have a tadpole in your head and a chance to intervene before everything burns.
- A strange figure appears in your dreams: a beautiful, otherworldly being who calls herself your guardian. She claims she can protect you from the tadpole's transformation, but she asks for nothing in return. You wake with more questions than answers and the feeling that something ancient and dangerous is watching.
- On the Risen Road, you find a tollhouse under attack by gnolls. Inside, a Flaming Fist officer named Anders is fighting for his life. He claims to be a paladin of Tyr hunting a devil. The devil he hunts is a tiefling woman named Karlach, and she is not what he says she is. You have a choice to make.
- A deep gnome named Barcus Wroot is tied to a windmill in the Blighted Village, surrounded by goblins who want to see him fly. He is not the only prisoner here. The goblins serve the Absolute, and their leaders are inside the ruined temple. If you can find a way in, you might learn what the Absolute truly is.
