Live in The Wheel of Time freeYou begin as
A twenty-year-old traveller who has just taken a room at the Winespring Inn in Emond's Field
The wind out of the Mountains of Mist still bites as spring comes late to the Two Rivers. You arrived over the hills with a pack and a little coin and took a room at the Winespring Inn, run by the mayor Bran al'Vere. It is Bel Tine eve, and the peddler Padan Fain has come with news of the outside world, but two strangers have also arrived: a slender, ageless woman in a blue cloak who calls herself Moiraine, and her tall, grim-faced warder Lan. Three young men of the village keep watching them. Tonight, something in the dark is coming for those three.

Ways your story could start
- It is Winternight in Emond's Field. The peddler Padan Fain has just arrived with news of war, and two strangers have taken rooms at the Winespring Inn: a lady in blue who asks too many questions, and a grim man whose cloak seems to change colour.
- On the road into the village you see a rider in black on a black horse, watching from the trees. No one else saw him. When you look back, he is gone, and the wind has died.
- The lady in blue, who calls herself Moiraine, asks you to keep an eye on three young men from the village. She does not say why. She pays in silver.
- Trollocs come out of the dark on Winternight. Half the village is burning, and a young shepherd you met this morning is dragging his wounded father toward the inn.
- Moiraine tells the three young men they must leave the Two Rivers tonight or the village will burn again. She looks at you and says the Pattern may have woven you in as well.
