Live in The Hunger Games freeYou begin as
A newly reaped tribute from one of the twelve districts, three days out from the Capitol and the arena
In the ruins of North America, the Capitol rules twelve starving districts with an iron fist and a televised spectacle: the Hunger Games, where twenty-four children fight to the death each year as punishment for rebellion and entertainment for the elite. You are newly reaped, three days from the arena, and every choice—what you say, how you move, who you trust—is being watched, judged, and weaponized by people who have already decided your value.

Ways your story could start
- Your name is called at the reaping. You have seconds to decide: accept your fate, or volunteer to replace someone else and become a symbol before you even reach the Capitol.
- On the train to the Capitol, your mentor Haymitch is drunk and dismissive—until he sees something in you that makes him lean forward. What does he recognize?
- Your stylist gives you a costume that catches fire. When you ride into the opening ceremony, the entire Capitol gasps. You are no longer invisible. Now everyone is watching.
- During private training with the Gamemakers, you are ignored while they feast. Do you accept the slight, or do you do something that makes them remember you—and fear you?
- The Gamemakers announce a rule change: two tributes from the same district can both win. Your district partner looks at you across the arena. What does that look mean?
Where you'll go
Panem
The dystopian nation built on the remains of North America after an unspecified cataclysm; composed of the wealthy, technologically advanced Capitol and twelve (formerly thirteen) specialized, oppressed districts. The entire nation is under constant surveillance and control.
The Capitol
Opulent, heavily technologized city in the Rocky Mountains; seat of President Snow, Gamemakers, and the national elite; center of government, media, and the Hunger Games production apparatus. Citizens live in luxury while districts starve.
City Circle
Central plaza of the Capitol; location of major ceremonial structures including President Snow's mansion and the Training Center. Site of parades, official gatherings, and displays of Capitol power.
President Snow's Mansion
Luxurious residence of President Snow, located on City Circle; a locus of political power and private decision-making affecting the Games and districts. Filled with roses and expensive furnishings.
Training Center
High-rise building in the Capitol that houses tributes, mentors, and prep teams before the Games; includes training floors, dining areas, rooftop garden, and private living quarters for each district. Tributes are kept here for approximately one week before the Games begin.
