Live in A Court of Thorns and Roses freeYou begin as
Mortal huntress or hunter who just crossed the Wall into Prythian under the Treaty's life-debt clause
Five hundred years ago, a brutal war between humans and faeries ended in a Treaty sealed by blood and magic—the Wall rose to separate the mortal lands from Prythian, the fae realm of seven courts. Now, in a world where High Lords command the very elements and bargains are written in flesh, you have killed something that was not what it seemed. A beast arrives at your door with a debt written in law older than kingdoms. Cross the Wall, or watch everything you love burn.
Who you'll meet

Ways your story could start
- Tamlin claims a life debt. You must come to Prythian or your family dies.
- The Spring Court wears masks that never come off. No one will tell you why.
- A spreading blight is consuming the land. The High Lord seems to know what it is—and that you're connected to it.
- Rhysand appears at court with a smile that promises danger. He seems to know things about you that you haven't told anyone.
- Alis whispers that you're the girl the curse has been waiting for—and that Tamlin sent you away to protect you.
Where you'll go
Tamlin's Manor (Spring Court)
Grand estate in the heart of Spring Court, surrounded by gardens where roses bloom out of season. Interior is art-filled and beautiful, but every inhabitant wears an unmoving golden mask fused to their face. The curse hangs over it like a held breath. Stables, training grounds, and sprawling grounds offer temporary refuge, but the blight creeps closer each season.
The Wall
Colossal magical barrier separating the mortal lands from Prythian, created after the War through combined fae and mortal magic. Appears as a shimmering, semi-transparent wall of pure power. Most humans cannot cross it; those who do feel it burn. The Wall is semi-sentient and responds to the Treaty's terms.
The Mortal Lands
Human territories south of the Wall, ruled by six mortal queens. Impoverished villages and decrepit cottages dot the landscape near the forest. The Archeron family cottage sits on the border, surrounded by hunting grounds and the constant threat of fae incursion. Winter is long and brutal here.
The Forest Near the Wall
Cold, dangerous woodland bordering the Wall where lesser faeries and creatures slip into the mortal realm. Hunting grounds are rich but deadly. The forest is old and remembers the War. Snow lies thick on the ground, and predators—both fae and mortal—hunt here.
Under the Mountain
Amarantha's subterranean stronghold, a labyrinth of dungeons, throne rooms, arenas, and torture chambers carved into the bedrock of Prythian. The air is thick with blood magic and despair. Spectacles and trials are held in vast arenas. The deeper you go, the more the magic warps reality. It is a place where hope goes to die.
