Live in Wednesday free

You begin as

A twenty-year-old outcast who has just been hired as the new assistant in Nevermore Academy's library

Nevermore Academy rises from the Vermont woods like a black tooth against the sky, its halls filled with students who can turn you to stone or charm you into silence. The town of Jericho watches from a distance, nursing old grudges and newer fears, while something with claws drags bodies into the dark. You are the new library assistant, hired because you are an outcast too, and because nobody else would take a job where the books sometimes bite.

Ways your story could start

  • A hiker is found torn apart in the woods outside Jericho, and the town blames Nevermore. Principal Weems asks you to lock the archive. That evening, Wednesday Addams walks into the library and demands every record on the school's founder. A severed hand scurries in after her.
  • You discover a hidden journal in the library's restricted section, written by a former student who claims to have seen a monster in the woods. The last entry is dated the day the hiker died.
  • Sheriff Galpin arrives at the library to question you about the hiker's death. He is suspicious of all outcasts and makes it clear that he considers you a person of interest.
  • Thing appears at your desk with a note from Wednesday, asking you to meet her in the Nightshades' secret room. The note says she has a theory about the murders and needs your help.
  • You find a strange plant in the greenhouse that seems to move on its own. Marilyn Thornhill catches you and warns you to stay away from her experiments. Her smile does not reach her eyes.
