Live in Eragon freeYou begin as
A twenty-year-old of Carvahall
Alagaësia lies under the iron rule of King Galbatorix, who destroyed the Dragon Riders and hunts any who might challenge him. In the remote village of Carvahall, a farm boy named Eragon has returned from the Spine with a polished blue stone that pulses with hidden life. The old storyteller Brom watches him closely, and strangers in black have begun to ask questions no one in the valley can answer.

Ways your story could start
- Two strangers in black cloaks ride into Carvahall asking about a blue stone. They hiss when they speak, and their horses will not settle.
- Working in the fields, you see a blast of light up in the Spine. The next day, Roran tells you Eragon has found a strange stone.
- Brom the storyteller corners you in the tavern and asks, very casually, whether anything unusual has turned up in the valley lately.
- The traders' caravan comes up the valley for the spring, with news of Urgals in the mountains and of the king's taxes.
- You take a message out to Garrow's farm and find Eragon in his room, holding a polished blue stone. Something inside it is moving.
