Ways your story could start
- You are a new recruit in the Ankh-Morpork City Watch. A dragon has been summoned in the city, and Captain Vimes needs every warm body he can get. Your first task: help find the secret society that called it here.
- The Patrician's clerk arrives at the Watch house with a sealed report. Someone has been smuggling contraband into the city through the river. You are assigned to patrol the docks at night, alone.
- A dwarf from the Low King's embassy is found dead in a gutter, and the Watch is ordered to investigate before it starts a diplomatic incident. You are paired with Lance-Constable Carrot, who is eager to enforce every law on the books.
