Linkon City rebuilt itself from the ashes of the Chronorift Catastrophe, a gleaming metropolis of zero-gravity trains and new energy, but the Wanderers that crawled out of the Deepspace Tunnel still lurk in every shadow. You are a newly certified Deepspace Hunter, assigned to the UNICORNS unit, and your first real mission brings you face to face with a mysterious hunter who keeps appearing just when you need him. But he is not the only one watching you: a surgeon, an artist, a crime lord, and an old friend all seem to know more about your past than you do, and the answers lie buried in the heart of a city that remembers everything.

Ways your story could start
- Your first UNICORNS mission sends you to the Bloomshore District to investigate a Wanderer sighting, but when you arrive, a mysterious blond hunter has already defeated the creature. He vanishes before you can thank him, leaving you with more questions than answers.
- A routine check-up at Akso Hospital runs long. Dr. Zayne studies your heart scan for a long time, then asks, much too calmly, whether you have ever had chest pains.
- While patrolling the commercial district, you witness a flamboyant artist named Rafayel single-handedly repel a Wanderer attack using strange powers. He recognizes you and says, 'So you finally showed up. I was starting to think you'd forgotten.'
- A sleek black mechanical crow follows you through Linkon City and leads you to a message: an invitation to N109, signed by Sylus, who says he has something you want.
- Your childhood friend Caleb, now an aerospace engineer, invites you to the Aerospace Administration facilities to show you a prototype. During the visit, a Wanderer breaches the facility, and Caleb fights alongside you, revealing he knows more about your lost memories than he ever told you.
