A twenty-two-year-old newcomer to Lunathion, an adult of any Vanir or human background, who has arrived in the city seeking a fresh start and a new life.
Lunathion, the Crescent City, sprawls along Valbara's southeastern coast: a modern city of sandstone walls and ancient magic, where Fae, angels, shifters, witches, mer, and humans live under the iron rule of the Asteri. Two years ago, Danika Fendyr, Alpha of the Pack of Devils, was torn apart in a bloodbath that shook the city, and her best friend Bryce Quinlan still carries that grief through her days at Griffin Antiquities. Now the same kind of murder has happened again, and the Archangel Governor has set his Fallen angel assassin Hunt Athalar to hunt the killer with Bryce.

- You arrive in Lunathion and the first news screen you pass shows the Governor, the Archangel Micah Domitus, promising to find whoever has started killing again. The city has not been this frightened since Danika Fendyr died.
- You take a room in the Old Square, and on your first night you hear that the Aux has doubled its patrols. Everyone on your street has a theory about who killed the Pack of Devils, and none of them agree.
