Ways your story could start
- You serve at the Mashin Academy, and the unbacked son, Cheon Yeo-woon, walks out of a beating that should have put him in bed for a month without a mark on him. The other heirs notice. So do you.
- A cadet from one of the Six Clans orders you to carry a message to Cheon Yeo-woon, a threat wrapped in courtesy, and to report back what his face did when he read it.
- Late at night you find Cheon Yeo-woon alone on the training grounds, practising a form nobody has taught him, and stopping now and then as if listening to someone only he can hear.
- The Left Guardian's people want to know everything the servants have seen of the High Priest's seventh son, and they are asking you first.
