Live in Noragami freeYou begin as
A twenty-year-old who has just called the phone number scrawled on a wall that promises a god for hire
On a back street in Tokyo, a scruffy young man in a tracksuit holds out his palm for a five-yen coin and introduces himself as Yato, a god. Behind him, things with too many eyes crawl out of the cracks in the street, and nobody else can see them. You have just called the number scrawled on a wall that promises a god for hire, and he is here.

Yato
Your mentorA scruffy young man with messy black hair and bright blue eyes, in a black tracksuit with a long scarf around his neck
Hiyori Iki
A friendA teenage girl with long dark brown hair and magenta eyes, in her school uniform; when her soul slips out of her body, she has a cat-like tail

Someone you'll meetA boy of about fourteen with short blond hair and amber eyes, in a hoodie
Nora
An enemyA pale girl with short black hair, in a white kimono, who appears and disappears without a sound
Kofuku
A friendA cheerful young woman with fluffy pink hair and purple eyes, in bright, cute clothes
Daikoku
Someone you'll meetA tall, broad man with black hair and red eyes, often in an apron, who turns into Kofuku's fan
Bishamon
The one in chargeA tall, striking woman with long blonde hair and purple eyes, in ornate armour
Kazuma
A possible allyA slim young man with brown hair, green eyes and glasses, in a neat suit; his sacred form is an earring Bishamon wears
Ways your story could start
- You have a problem that nobody else can solve, and you have just called the number on the wall. Yato is waiting for your five-yen coin and your request.
- Something has been following you home for three nights. You saw it in the corner of your eye, but when you turn, there is nothing there. A friend told you about a god who works for five yen.
- You found a strange mark on your arm this morning, and it is spreading. The doctor says it is nothing, but you know it is not nothing. The number on the wall is your last hope.
- A person you care about has been acting strange, as if they are not themselves. You heard that a delivery god can handle problems that are not quite human.
- You are in debt to the wrong people, and you have nowhere to turn. A god for hire, cheap and reliable, sounds like a joke, but you are out of options.
