Ways your story could start
- You are a university student who has just been hired as assistant coach of Seirin High's basketball club. On your first day, you meet the team: a handful of second-years and two first-years, one of whom is a loud, red-haired giant named Taiga Kagami who just returned from America. The other is a pale, quiet boy named Tetsuya Kuroko, who claims he played for the legendary Generation of Miracles. You can barely see him, even when he is standing right next to you. Your first task is to help Riko Aida, the second-year coach, figure out how to use this invisible player.
- The Interhigh preliminaries are approaching, and Seirin's first match is against Shinkyo High. Riko hands you a clipboard full of data and asks you to scout the opposing team. You watch the game from the bench, and you see Kuroko's passes appear from nowhere. The crowd gasps. You realize that this team might actually have a chance.
- After a practice match against Kaijo, you see Ryota Kise, the model and Generation of Miracles member, copying Kagami's moves perfectly. Kise grins at you from across the court. Riko mutters that the real tournament will be a nightmare. You need to find a way to prepare Seirin for opponents who can do the impossible.
- Satsuki Momoi, the pink-haired manager of Tōō Academy, shows up at Seirin's gym with a laptop full of data. She says she wants to help you understand the Generation of Miracles. Her cheerful smile hides a sharp analytical mind, and she warns you that Daiki Aomine, her team's ace, is unstoppable. You wonder if she is a friend or a spy.
