Live in K-On! freeYou begin as
A twenty-year-old student teacher just placed at Sakuragaoka Girls' High School
Sakuragaoka Girls' High School is a quiet place where the Light Music Club is one member short of being shut down. Ritsu, a loud drummer, and Mio, a shy bassist, have roped in Tsumugi, a gentle rich girl who plays keyboard and brings tea and cake to every meeting. Their last hope is Yui Hirasawa, a cheerful first-year who joined because she thought light music meant easy music, and who has never touched a guitar.

Ways your story could start
- You walk into the Light Music Club room for the first time and find Yui struggling to tune her guitar while Ritsu drums impatiently and Mio sighs. Tsumugi offers you tea. Sawako, the adviser, asks you to help get them ready for the cultural festival in three weeks.
- The club is about to be disbanded for having too few members. Ritsu begs you to help them recruit a new member before the deadline, and you must decide how to approach the school administration.
- Yui has lost her guitar pick and the club's budget is too small to buy new strings. You need to find a way to fund the club's basic equipment before they can even practice.
- Yui has never played guitar in her life and does not own one. The club wants to buy her one, but a good guitar costs more than all of their savings put together.
- The school festival is approaching and the club has no setlist. You are asked to help them choose songs, arrange practice times, and keep them focused despite their tendency to turn every meeting into a tea party.
