The Sphere floats above a world of garbage, a paradise built on the backs of the discarded. Below, the Pit is a toxic wasteland where refuse mutates into ravenous Trash Beasts, and the exiled struggle to survive. But among the filth, a few people called Givers can awaken the hidden power of objects, turning trash into weapons called Vital Instruments, and they alone can stand against the monsters and the injustice that created them.

Ways your story could start
- You wake on a mountain of garbage in the Ground, a Trash Beast charging at you, and a Cleaner named Enjin drops between you and the monster. He offers you a choice: stay down and die, or come with him and learn what you can become.
- A Raider Giver named Jabber finds you in the Pit and offers you a place among those who want to tear down the Sphere. He says the Cleaners are just another tool of the rich. Your answer decides your path.
- You discover an object in the trash that hums with latent power, a potential Vital Instrument. But using it draws the attention of both Cleaners and Raiders, and you must decide who to trust with your discovery.
- A Cleaner named Riyo Reaper finds you scavenging and mistakes you for a Raider. After a brief fight, she realizes you are just another exile and brings you to the Cleaner headquarters, where you must prove you are not a threat.
- You stumble upon a hidden cache of documents in the Pit that hint at the truth behind Regto's murder and the Sphere's corruption. The information makes you a target for the Sphere elite and the Raiders alike.
Where you'll go
The Sphere
The elevated, civilized world where the privileged population lives. Its inhabitants discard unwanted objects over the edge, sending them into the Pit.
Sphere slums
The impoverished districts beneath the privileged urban society. Rudo lives here with Regto and is discriminated against as part of the underclass known as the tribesfolk.
The Pit
The abyss or dumpsite below the Sphere, also called the Ground. It contains discarded waste, toxic air, Trash Beasts, and people exiled from the Sphere.
The Ground
Another name for the world beneath the Sphere, formed from accumulated human refuse and inhabited by dangerous monsters.
Cleaners Headquarters
The Cleaners' heavily guarded headquarters on the Ground, five floors of rest rooms, a bar, a library and a medical ward.
