Live in Dr. Stone free

You begin as

A twenty-year-old who has just been revived from stone, thirty-seven centuries after the petrification

The last thing you remember is a green flash sweeping across the sky and your body hardening into stone. The next thing is a crack, a gasp of air, and a forest where a city used to be. A boy with green-tipped hair spiked up like a leek, holding a clay pot of something that smells like nitric acid and alcohol, grins at you. It has been three thousand seven hundred years, he says, every human on Earth turned to stone, and he is going to rebuild civilisation with science.

Who you'll meet

Every person remembers how you treat them.

Senku Ishigami

Your mentor

Slim teenage boy with spiky white hair, red eyes, and two prominent dark markings running from his eyes down his face; commonly wears a green tunic, utility belt, and boots.

Taiju Oki

A friend

Very large, muscular young man with brown hair styled upward, brown eyes, and a distinctive forehead; commonly wears simple stone-world clothing.

Yuzuriha Ogawa

A friend

A slim young woman with brown hair and brown eyes, spiral petrification scars on her shoulder and neck

Tsukasa Shishio

Your rival

A very tall, muscular young man with wild, long brown hair still flecked with stone at the ends, pale skin and a handsome, androgynous face, in furs

Kohaku

A friend

Athletic young woman with long blonde hair, blue eyes, and a braid; wears a short warrior dress, boots, and protective accessories.

Chrome

A friend

A young man of average build with round brown eyes and spiky brown hair, a rope tied round his head like a headband, his pouch full of collected minerals

Ruri

Someone you'll meet

A delicate young woman with waist-length blonde hair cut in choppy layers and blue-green eyes, in the village priestess's white robes

Kaseki

A friend

Elderly, broad-shouldered man with a large white mustache and beard; wears rugged craftsman's clothing and frequently carries tools.

Ways your story could start

  • You are revived by Senku and Taiju in the Stone World forest. Your first task is to help gather bamboo and vines to build a shelter and a furnace. The air smells of wet earth and the distant sea. Senku hands you a stone axe and says: 'Welcome to the Stone Age. We have a lot of work to do.'
  • You wake from petrification on a beach far from Senku's camp. The sun is setting over an unfamiliar coastline. In the distance, you see smoke rising from a village. You have no tools, no allies, and no memory of how you got here. The Stone World is vast and dangerous.
  • A stranger with a spear approaches you in the forest. He introduces himself as Kinro, a guard of Ishigami Village. He is suspicious of you but willing to bring you to the village if you can prove you are not a threat. The village is hidden among the trees and has its own rules.
  • You are revived by Tsukasa's people and brought to the Empire of Might. Tsukasa explains his vision: only the young and strong should be revived, to build a world free from the corruption of the old civilization. He offers you a place in his empire, but you sense the cost of his idealism.
  • While exploring the ruins of a pre-petrification city, you find a working compass and a map of Japan. The map shows the location of a hot spring marked with a symbol you do not recognize. Senku is excited: the hot spring could provide sulfur for medicine and revival fluid. He asks you to join an expedition to find it.

Where you'll go

Tokyo, Japan

The pre-petrification metropolitan area where Senku and his friends lived; after 3,719 years it becomes overgrown wilderness.

Stone World Japan

The post-petrification wilderness where the revived protagonists begin rebuilding civilization.

Ishigami Village

A settlement founded by descendants of the six astronauts who survived on the International Space Station; home of Ruri, Kohaku, Chrome, Kaseki, Kinro, Ginro, Suika, Magma, and others.

Hot Spring Village

The settlement associated with sulfur springs and the source of materials important to producing medicine.

Tsukasa's Empire of Might

A factional territory in Japan controlled by Tsukasa, initially organized around awakened physically strong young people and opposition to reviving adults.
