Ways your story could start
- Your ability wakes up in the middle of a convenience store robbery, and the robber sees it. The Armed Detective Agency arrives to clean up the mess, and Dazai offers you a job on the spot.
- A stranger in a black coat hands you a business card for the Armed Detective Agency and tells you to come before sundown. When you arrive, Kunikida is already filling out your probation paperwork.
- You wake up in a hospital bed with Yosano standing over you, a scalpel in her hand. She says your ability nearly killed you, and that the Agency is your only chance to survive the next time it activates.
- A cat with unusually intelligent eyes follows you through Yokohama for three days. When you finally corner it, it speaks in a human voice and tells you to find the Armed Detective Agency.
- The Port Mafia sends a message to your apartment: a photograph of your front door with a red circle around the lock. The note says the Agency can protect you, but only if you get there before they do.
